Menorca.Family friendly island in the Sun!

Menorca or Minorca is one of the smaller islands that make up the Balearics in the Mediterranean.Although part of Spain for many years now Minorca has its own special quality and characterisitcs.Being an island it has had many rulers over the centuries.Romans, Carthaginians,Moors, French , British have all left their stamp on this tiny outpost in the Med.Traditionaly a farming community Menorca in more recent years has expanded its ecomnomy through tourism. The island boasts many private villas and self catering facilities as well as traditional hotels. It is also a an open air archaeoligical museum with remains going back to the bronze age.Im more recent years the island has been designated as a Biosphere Reserve due to its indiginous fauna and flora peculiar only to he island. Great walksGreat sub aqua diving.Great water sports..Great views.Great beaches.Great places to visit.Great value for money.

Menorca in our opinion is a great destination for families and couples. If you want rampant night life then Menorca is not for you.Hop a ferry to Ibiza or Majorca if that is your preference.
